The LITTLE things

My mother recently sent me this, and how true it is!

The 'L I. T. T. L E' things.

As you might know, the head of a company survived 9/11 because his son started kindergarten that morning. Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts. One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time. One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident. One of them missed his bus. One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change. One's car wouldn't start. One went back to answer the telephone. One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have. One couldn't get a taxi. The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today. Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone... All the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to beat this very moment..

Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you. May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things and may you remember their possible purpose.

Uchenna & Joyce --Amazing Race

I was so excited last night when Uchenna and Joyce won the Amazing Race. They seem to be really good, honest, hard working people.

I love the Amazing Race. It has to be one of the best reality show's out there. It is doing really well in the ratings. I think they are working on developing an Amazing Race All Stars cast. They are going to bring back all the winners so far, as well as some favorite couples like Sharla and Myrna. I can still see her carrying that cow on her back. Too much. LOL

Alright, I'm off to the gym. YUCK!

Back from vacation

Florida was very nice. Miami is a great city. Very interesting to say the least. South Beach is a site to be seen. It's a lot like Vegas. After two days you are so ready to leave. In Miami we stayed at The Sheraton Bal Harbor beach resort which was five miles north of South Beach. We had a really nice time. The resort was beautiful.

West Palm Beach is beautiful as well. The Breakers hotel is just breathtaking. Walking down Worth Avenue and looking at all the shops was a lot of fun as well. Here are a few pictures from the vacation.

David was able to hang out with and meet Halle Berry and Alicia Keys. Halle of course is the leading spokeswoman for Revlon and Alicia was their entertainment at their annual NACDS meeting. I will be sure to post a picture of David,Halle and Alicia as soon as we get the pictures back. David said that Halle has to be one of the most geniune and grounded celebrities that he has met which was very nice to hear, for as well all know many are not that way. She seems like a real sweetheart.

Now I am settling back into the normal routine. Something exciting could be on the horizon, but I refuse to talk about it now. That's right, you will have to wait.

Hugs,
Scot
